Sabb.75b דלִיתְוַוס בית השחיטה (Ms. M. דניתְוִיס) that the throat of the slaughtered animal be stained with blood. Ib. 124b, אִתְווּס מסנאיה טינא Ms. O. (ed. אתווסאי, Ar. ed. Koh. איתווס מאניה; ed. Sonc. אִתְוְוסֵי) his shoes were soiled with mud. Pes.65b; Zeb.35a מִיתְוְוסֵי מאנייהו their garments would be soiled (with blood). Yoma 53a מִתְוְוסָן אסקופתאוכ׳ (Ms. M. 2 מִתְוְוסָא sing.) the thresholds B. Kam.18a דמתווס בלישא Ar. a. Ms. F. (v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note 80, ed. דמאוס, corr. acc.) the rope was covered with dough (which attracted the chickens).
